The McIntires Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth
Sharleen McIntire and her husband, Lars, have volunteered as Track Ambassadors at Infineon Raceway for seven years. In addition to their service at the raceway, the McIntires have also dedicated much of their time to helping out the Sonoma Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. You will find Sharleen and Lars working at the SCC booth during several major events at Infineon Raceway, including the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR event and the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event. They are also trusted volunteers when it comes to the various charity auctions at the raceway.
In addition to their donation of time to Speedway Children's Charities, Sharleen and Lars volunteer at the Spreckels Performing Arts Center in Rohnert Park and during the fall months, they volunteer at the Dragons Head Inn Haunted House. Sharleen also volunteers at the Sebastopol Police Department as a control clerk and fingerprint technician, while Lars volunteers as the advisor for the Rohnert Park Police Explorer program. Sharleen was born and raised in Sonoma County and is the mother of two as well as a loving grandmother.
Sharleen and Lars define what it means to be public servants. The Sonoma Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities appreciates everything they do for the local chapter and wanted to recognize them as two people who truly make a difference in our community.
