The Infineon Raceway chapter of Speedway Children's Charities, operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has distributed more than $3 million to over 175 Sonoma County youth groups since its inception in 2002. The Sonoma chapter hosted ten fundraisers during this racing season including the Children's Champions NASCAR Grand Marshall's Banquet which featured a cooking demonstration with NASCAR drivers J.J. Yeley and Boris Said as well as Food Network star Guy Fieri. The event was held at Cline Cellars Winery in Sonoma Valley. Another exciting event was the IndyCar Charity Auction where fans had the chance to bid on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a pace lap with their favorite IndyCar Series driver.
